Light Needs: Full Sun
A deciduous tree with a dense, pyramidal habit with fluted gray bark. Turns golden yellow during the Fall season. Ideal in groups, as a windbreak, hedging, or specimen in a narrow yard. Takes well to hard pruning when used as a hedge. Prefers well-drained soil. Apply fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Prune in the Winter months while the tree is still dormant, although it is rarely needed unless you are using it as a hedge.
