Low maintenance, herbaceous, evergreen perennial used as a groundcover or to naturalize. Blooms small pink flowers from August to September that attract butterflies. Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Prefers moist soils with good drainage. It is a low-growing, sprawling, mat-forming with creeping, branching stems that easily root at the nodes. Leaves are medium green with reddish-tinged margins that typically turn deep burgundy in fall for overwintering. Tolerates Rabbit, Deer, Drought, Erosion, Dry Soil, Shallow-Rocky Soil, Air Pollution and best used in Rock Gardens.
