Light Needs: Part shade to Full Shade
Upright to arching deciduous fern with finely dissected, feathery fronds. Grows best in medium to wet rich soil with constant moisture. The soil must never be allowed to dry out. Spreads by underground rhizomes to form dense colonies in optimum growing conditions. Fiddle heads appear in the Spring and grow throughout Summer, starts to fade in the Early Fall. Mass in moist, shady woodland areas, wild gardens or wet areas near streams or ponds.
