A deciduous, usually multi-stemmed, under-story tree. White, showy flowers bloom in April followed by edible fruits in June. The tree especially attractive to many species of birds. The fruits resemble blueberries in taste and are used in jams, jellies, and pies. Brilliant foliage in Fall of orange-red coloring. This cultivar is known for its excellent disease resistance. Makes an ideal informal hedge or screen. Used in Woodland and Native gardens.
