A clump-forming herbaceous perennial with dark glossy, maroon-green foliage that blooms white bell shaped flowers on slender stems in June and July. It is best grown in organically rich, humusy, medium moisture, well-drained soils and does not like the soil to get dried out. Ideal as edging, along walkways, mass planting, Woodland gardens, and Rock gardens.
