A deciduous, mounded fast growing shrub with abundant, showy Summer flowers that bloom on old wood. Prefers organically rich, well-drained evenly moist soil; acidic soil produces blue flowers and slightly more alkaline produces flowers with a pink hue. Ideal as an accent, specimen or border along fences and walls. Apply mulch to retain moisture and protect in harsh Winter climates. Feed and early Spring and prune to shape after flowering. Attracts butterflies and makes an excellent cut and dried flower. Perfect in Contemporary, Cottage, Woodland, Coastal, and Urban gardens.
