White flowers bloom in July and change to a purplish pink. Good cut and dried flower. Leaf has good Fall color. Thrives in moist soils. Hedge. Bloom occur on old wood. Prune if needed immediately after flowering little pruning is usually needed. Winter damaged stems may be pruned in early spring.
