An herbaceous perennial with attractive blue flowers in the early Spring, but is most prized for it's interesting foliage that adds contrast in any shade garden. Remove flower stems immediately after bloom. Prefers moist, well-drained soils; that must not be allowed to dry out. Ideally grown as a ground-cover, mass plantings, Woodland gardens, borders, edgings, and Rock gardens. Deer and Black Walnut resistant.
