Moisture loving herbaceous perennial that grows along rhizomes. Has a mounded, upright habit with large, glossy textured bronze tinged dark green leaves that look like fans. Blooms late Spring into Summer with fluffed clusters of bright pink, star shaped flowers on dark red stems that attract butterflies. Shade tolerant. Ideal near a pond or stream, in the Woodland gardens, or Foundation planting. Lift and divide congested colonies in early spring.
