Low maintenance, slow growing showy deciduous tree native to Japan. With dark green foliage that turns reddish-orange and burgundy in Fall. Exfoliating, reddish-brown bark provides good winter color and interest. Has a pyramidal growth habit and blooms white flowers with showy orange-yellow anthers from June to July. Best in moist, organically rich, well-drained soils. Perfectly used in borders and woodland gardens or as beautiful lawn specimens.
